Tip #1: Take breaks from sitting

Tip #2: Make sure your chair is supporting your body properly

If your feet don’t reach the floor while sitting, find a footrest that fits in your workspace. Some people find it helpful to use a footrest to elevate the feet while sitting, which can help lessen inflammation and pain. 

Tip #3: Choose the right tools for the job

Giving your knees extra support can make a noticeable difference in your comfort at work. Custom orthotics, for example, help redistribute weight across your feet, which can reduce strain and ease pressure on your knees.

Wearing a knee brace can help relieve pain from certain types of knee issues, but bracing isn’t for everyone and shouldn’t be considered a long-term solution. Alternating between ice and heat throughout the day can also keep pain and swelling at manageable levels.
